Lee Schmidt

Lee is an expert on personal financial topics such as credit cards, loans, debt management strategies, and credit reports and scores. He has years of experience in areas such as finance, investing, credit repair, and software engineering. In 2018 he set out to build DisputeBee in order to help consumers take control of their credit. Lee has been the resident expert on credit related topics for DisputeBee since that time. He covers everything consumers need to know about credit, debt, and personal finance.

In addition to being CEO at DisputeBee, Lee is a self-made expert on credit and debt collection laws such as the FCRA and FDCPA (but he is not a lawyer). His expertise is evident in his writing that has appeared on DisputeBee, as well as other popular outlets.

Lee holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Actuarial Science with a minor in Economics from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee.
